Growing Cannova Yellow
Plant in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil that can hold steady moisture. Cannas thrive in Alabama’s summer warmth, but they are thirsty growers: water deeply during dry spells and monitor containers frequently. Feed during the active growing season and remove spent flower stalks to encourage a tidy display.
Size: Roughly 2–4 feet tall and 1–2 feet wide. Bloom period: Warm months until frost. After the first freeze, cut back damaged tops and mulch rhizomes in the ground where winter protection is needed.
