Description
Cannova Red Shades canna produces showy red flower spikes above large, handsome leaves. It offers the lush, tropical appearance gardeners love without needing a tropical climate all year long.
Growing Cannova Red Shades
Give this canna full sun and rich soil with consistent moisture and good drainage. Regular watering makes a noticeable difference during Alabama’s summer heat. Plants also respond well to moderate feeding while actively growing. Remove faded blooms and damaged foliage to keep containers and landscape plantings attractive.
Mature size: Approximately 2–4 feet tall and 1–2 feet wide. Landscape uses: Sunny borders, mass plantings, and large mixed pots. The tops die back after frost; mulch established rhizomes in colder locations or store them indoors for winter.
