Description
Cannova Bronze Scarlet canna combines striking scarlet-red flowers with bold bronze-toned leaves for a dramatic tropical accent. The upright stems and lush foliage give garden beds and large containers plenty of color even between blooms.
Growing Cannova Bronze Scarlet
Choose full sun and fertile, moisture-retentive soil with good drainage. Cannas appreciate regular deep watering during Alabama’s long, hot summers; container-grown plants may need water more often. Feed during active growth, remove faded flower stalks, and allow space around the clump for airflow.
Mature size: Approximately 2–4 feet tall and 1–2 feet wide. Bloom season: Warm weather through frost. Cannas can return from underground rhizomes in protected sites, but a layer of winter mulch is helpful where freezes are common.
