Description

Native to Europe and Asia the Autumn Joy is a hybrid plant resulting in green succulent-like leaves and clusters of tiny, pink flowers that bloom in late summer and fall and transition to a rust red color before they die. This plant can grow to be 1.5-2′ tall and wide with each cluster of booms spanning from 3 to 6″ across on the top of the plants stems. A low maintenance plant, the Autumn Joy is heat and drought-tolerant, and only needs full sunlight and gravelly or well-drained soil to thrive. Light watering, every two-or-so weeks, even in the heat of summer is sufficient for this hardy plant. The hardiness zones for the Autumn Joy are 3-9.
