Description
Patriot hostas feature large, oval-shaped leaves with glossy, deep green centers and creamy, streaked margins that turn golden with adequate sunlight exposure. When they bloom in late summer, fragrant lavender-blue flowers rise above the lush foliage. Mature Patriot hostas typically reach 12-20 inches in height and 30 inches in width. They require light, airy soil, a location that provides mostly shade with some sunlight, and adequate watering based on location. The bright leaves and tall flowers are known to attract songbirds, hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators to gardens. Propagation is possible through division in early spring or late summer. Patriot hostas have hardiness zones of 2-9.
