Description
Graffiti White pentas brings clusters of crisp white, star-shaped flowers above lush, dark green leaves. This bushy, warm-season flowering plant adds a bright contrast to colorful beds and mixed containers, and its nectar-rich blooms attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Depending on growing conditions, plants can reach about 1–3 feet tall and wide.
For Alabama gardens, plant after the last spring frost in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Pentas handle summer heat well, but water regularly while establishing and during prolonged dry spells. Let the soil surface dry slightly between waterings rather than keeping roots constantly soggy. Light feeding during active growth and occasional trimming of faded clusters can keep plants looking their best. Provide airflow in humid weather. Graffiti White is frost-tender and generally grown as an annual in Alabama; it is typically perennial in USDA Zones 10–11.
