Description
Graffiti Pink pentas produces abundant clusters of bright pink, star-shaped flowers over dense green foliage. Its neat, mounding habit works well at the front of sunny borders and in patio pots, while the flowers offer nectar for butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Mature plants may reach approximately 1–3 feet tall and wide depending on conditions.
For Alabama and the Southeast, plant after the last frost in full sun and well-drained soil. Pentas handle summer heat well but benefit from steady watering during establishment and dry spells. Water at the soil level, allow the surface to dry slightly between waterings, and avoid saturated roots. Feed lightly during active growth and trim spent clusters if desired. This frost-sensitive plant is usually treated as a warm-season annual in Alabama and is typically perennial only in USDA Zones 10–11.
