Description
Frizzle Sizzle Mix pansies are loved for their playful, ruffled petals in a blend of yellow, purple, blue-toned, and other cheerful colors. Compact, mounded plants grow about 6–10 inches tall and wide, making them ideal for edging, window boxes, patio containers, and cool-season bedding displays.
In Alabama, plant pansies in fall for color through the cool months and into spring. Choose full sun during winter or a spot with some afternoon shade as spring temperatures rise. Use fertile, well-drained soil, water at the base when needed, and remove spent blooms to encourage more flowers. Pansies often decline when sustained summer heat arrives; they are not reliable summer bloomers in the Southeast. Protect container roots during unusually hard freezes. The plant is often grown as a cool-season annual even where it can be short-lived perennial.
