Solenostemon scutellarioides. French Quarter coleus is a vigorous growing plant with tri-colored leaves that start with bright fuchsia veins that transition to a deep purple then each leaf has a thick bright green serrated margin. This plant begins to produce blooms in the summer months, but it is best to remove them to keep the plant vibrant foliage looking showy. The nature of this coleus makes it an ideal choice for large mixed containers and landscape beds. At maturity this plant can grow to measure 18 to 36 inches tall and 24 to 28 inches wide. It thrives in nutrient rich well-draining soil, requires part sun to shade, and has average watering needs. French Quarter coleus has hardiness zones from 10 to 11.
