Painted Echeveria is an evergreen succulent that forms rosettes of concave slightly pointed leaves that are green with purple margins and purple center lines. In summer, this rosette growing succulent send up a 2-foot-tall flowering spike that is decorated with yellow and pink-ish flowers. This succulent also produces offsets that create a dense carpet of fleshy rosettes. The nature of this plant makes it perfect for rock gardens and containers. When grown in containers this succulent will grow as large as the container allows. When fully grown, this succulent can grow to measure 1 to 2 feet tall and wide. It thrives in sandy well-drained soil, enjoys full to partial sun, and requires minimal watering, with no watering in the plants dormant season. The Painted Echeveria succulent has hardiness zones from 9 to 12.
