Description
Cocktail Gin wax begonia ‘Cocktail Gin’ wax begonia (Begonia × semperflorens-cultorum) combines pink flowers with bronze-toned foliage for season-long color. Its compact, rounded shape looks especially good in edging, patio pots, and mass plantings.
Growing and Care
Give plants morning sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil. Keep the root zone evenly moist without waterlogging it, and allow some airflow in Alabama’s humid summers. Shelter from hard afternoon sun in exposed locations. Remove damaged leaves as needed to keep plantings neat.
Size and use: Approximately 8–10 inches tall and 10–12 inches wide. Usually treated as a warm-season annual where winter freezes occur.
