Description

The Brass Lantern Heucherella is a robust plant with a lush mound of maple-like leaves, marked by striking dark red veins. In early summer, it produces small white flowers that cluster at the ends of tall, sturdy red stems. At maturity this plant can grow to measure 1 to 3 inches tall and 1 to 2 feet wide. The ideal growing conditions of the Brass Lantern are moist well-draining soil, with partial sunlight to full shade, and adequate watering–letting the top layer of soil dry out between watering. For optimal productivity, dividing the plant every few years is recommended, along with propagation by division and removing old foliage in the fall. The Brass Lantern has hardiness zones from 4 to 9.
