Aloe nobilis, Golden Tooth

Category:

Description

Golden Tooth aloe is shaped and grows like a typical aloe plant. Each yellow-green leave is outlined with tiny white or yellow teeth, hence the name “Golden Tooth”. At maturity is can reach 12″ (30cm) tall and by offsetting can create a mound as large as 4′ (1.2m) across. In order to thrive, this succulent needs bright, indirect sunlight for at least 6 hours per day. Too much or too little sunlight can cause discolorations in the leaves and compromise the sturdiness of the plant. During the growing season the plant will need more water (once a week) than the dormant season (once every few weeks). Proper watering along with well-draining soil will ensure the Golden Tooth aloe will not become waterlogged. The hardiness zone of this succulent is 9b-10b.
