Description

Catharanthus roseus ‘Pacifica White’ produces clean white flowers above glossy green foliage on an upright, mounded plant. It is an easy way to brighten sunny borders, mass plantings, and mixed summer containers. Mature size is generally around 10–18 inches tall and wide, depending on conditions.

Growing Pacifica White in Alabama

Plant after frost danger passes, once the soil has warmed. Choose full sun and a site that drains well; annual vinca tolerates Alabama heat but is vulnerable to problems in cold, soggy soil. Water consistently while roots establish, then let the soil surface dry slightly between thorough waterings. Water at soil level when possible to limit wet leaves during humid weather. Apply fertilizer lightly if needed, avoiding excessive nitrogen. The bright white flowers keep coming through summer and into fall until frost. Treat as a warm-season annual in most of Alabama.
