Growing Super Olympia Red in Alabama
For Alabama beds, borders, and containers, choose morning sun with afternoon shade or bright filtered light, especially during intense summer heat. Plant in loose, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Water when the surface begins to dry, avoiding soggy roots and prolonged wet foliage. Space plants for airflow during humid spells and remove damaged leaves as needed. Usually grown as a warm-season annual in much of Alabama; protect from frost.
