Viola Orange Jump-up displays purple upper petals above orange-yellow lower petals accented with fine purple markings. Plants stay compact, usually 4–10 inches tall and wide.
Growing in Alabama and the Southeast
For Alabama’s climate, grow as a cool-season flower in beds, edging or containers from fall through spring. Provide well-drained soil, steady moisture and good winter sun. Remove spent blooms regularly. In warmer spring weather, a little afternoon shade can prolong the show, but summer heat eventually reduces flowering.
