Description
Bonanza Deep Orange French marigold (Tagetes patula) brightens beds and containers with full, deep orange blooms above finely divided green foliage. Its compact growth is especially useful for edging paths and filling the front of a sunny flower border.
Growing in Alabama
Plant after the last spring frost in a location with at least six hours of sun and well-drained soil. Water young plants regularly, then allow the soil surface to dry slightly between waterings. Remove spent flowers to keep plants neat and encourage continued blooming. During very hot, humid stretches, good spacing and air movement help maintain healthy foliage.
Size: About 10–12 inches tall and roughly 6–8 inches wide under the listed growing conditions. Season: Warm-season annual, flowering from spring into summer and often beyond with care. Excellent for mass planting, borders, and pots.
