Description

The Southern Comfort Heuchera is a robust plant with a lush mound of yellowish and red foliage. In late summer, small thin clusters of tiny white blooms tower above the dense foliage and are attractive to pollinators. At maturity this plant can grow to measure about 1 to 2 feet tall and wide. The ideal growing conditions of the Southern Comfort are moist well-draining soil, with partial sunlight to full shade, and adequate watering, letting the top layer of soil dry out between waterings. For optimal productivity, dividing the plant every few years is recommended, along with propagation by division and removing old foliage in the fall. The Southern Comfort has hardiness zones from 4 to 9.
