Description

Lucky Yellow lantana forms a compact, lightly branching mound of green foliage covered with clusters of bright yellow, tubular flowers. It brings sunny color to small beds, borders, and containers through the warm growing season. Plants generally grow around 12–16 inches tall and 12–14 inches wide.

Growing in Alabama and the Southeast

Plant in full sun after Alabama’s spring frost risk has passed. Choose well-drained garden soil or a container with drainage holes. Water thoroughly while establishing; once rooted, allow the upper soil to dry somewhat between waterings. Good airflow helps in humid weather. Lantana tolerates summer heat and attracts bees and butterflies, but flowers best without excessive fertilizer. Protect from freezing temperatures or use as a warm-season annual in colder parts of the Southeast.
