Description

Sweet 100 is an indeterminate cherry tomato producing long clusters of sweet, small red fruit, often around 1 ounce each. Expect the first harvest in approximately 65 days after transplanting under good conditions. The original variety listing notes tolerance to Verticillium wilt, Fusarium wilt races 1 and 2, and tobacco mosaic virus; disease tolerance does not eliminate the need for good garden sanitation.

Growing Sweet 100 in Alabama

Plant after frost danger passes and soil has warmed. Choose full sun, fertile well-drained soil, and a tall cage or trellis for the vigorous vines. Water deeply and consistently at soil level, mulch to reduce moisture swings, and avoid excessive nitrogen. Alabama summer heat can slow fruit set; pick ripe fruit often and watch for hornworms, leaf spots, and cracking after heavy rain.
