Description
Sum and Substance hostas display large heart-shaped thick leaves that are glossy greenish-yellow that turn gold with proper exposure to sunlight. In late summer when in bloom, fragrant white flowers tower about the luscious leaves. Mature Sum and Substance hostas can measure up to 2-3′ tall and 3-5′ wide. These plants need light airy soil, placed somewhere to receive sun and shade, and moderate watering if outdoors. In indoor, in a pot, these plants will need to be watered daily. The bight leaves and tall flowers attract hummingbirds, butterflies and other pollinators to any garden. The hardiness zones of the Sum and Substance hosta are 2 to 9.
