Lavender buchii, Jagged Lavender

Description

Jagged Lavender is a fern-leafed perennial that prefers full sunlight and blooms in the summer. The purple blooms on long stems emerge high above the foliage, perfect for cutting and using in arrangements or bougets and attracting bees to the plant. The fragrance of the foliage keeps gophers and deer at bay. Cutting back immediately after the bloom is finished or no later than the first week in September ensures the plant is productive in the following season.  This plant grows 24-36″ (61-91cm) tall and wide and will fill any allotted growing space. Jagged Lavender prefers a hot and dry climate and is drought tolerant. The zones of this plant are 9 and 10.
