Description

The Pink Lady is a low growing, trailing plant that produces an eye-catching pink and white striped flower that stands out against a background of rich green foliage. These blooms can be single or double and bloom from late spring to early fall and are perfect for attracting hummingbirds and bees to any garden. At maturity this plant can measure about 8 inches in height and can spread up to 20 inches wide. The ideal growing conditions of this variety of portulaca are well-draining soil, planted somewhere to receive full sun for majority of the day, and proper watering. The growth tendencies and low maintenance qualities of the Pink Lady makes it perfect for hanging baskets, patio containers and flower beds. This portulaca is somewhat drought tolerant and has hardiness zones from 9 to 11.
